27 ม.ค. 66 สมาชิกสหภาพคนทำงานเข้าร่วมชุมนุมยืนหยุดขังที่บริเวณ skywalk ด้านหน้า MBK เพื่อแสดงออกถึงการสนับสนุนใน 3 ข้อเรียกร้องของตะวัน-แบม: ปฏิรูปกระบวนการยุติธรรม ทำศาลให้เป็นอิสระ ยุติการดำเนินคดีการเมือง ปล่อยผู้ต้องขังทุกคน พรรคการเมืองทุกพรรคต้องผลักดันการ ยกเลิกกฎหมายอาญามาตรา 112 และ มาตรา 116
ในฐานะองค์กรของประชาชนผู้ใช้แรงงานเพื่อผลประโยชน์ของคน 99% เราจะไม่นิ่งเฉยต่อวิกฤตด้านสิทธิเสรีภาพการแสดงออกในสังคมไทย เพราะหากไร้ปากเสียงในการวิจารณ์การเมือง ปากท้องอันดีและมั่นคงของคนส่วนใหญ่ย่อมเป็นไปไม่ได้เช่นกัน

ทั้งนี้การประท้วงของเรามิใช่เป็นไปเพื่อนักกิจกรรมกลุ่มใดกลุ่มหนึ่งเท่านั้น แต่เพื่อเสรีภาพของคนทุกคนในสังคมในการเข้าถึงอำนาจอธิปไตยและการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสังคมสู่ความเป็นธรรมและความเท่าเทียมทางสิทธิและเศรษฐกิจ ด้วยความนับถือแด่ตะวัน-แบมและผู้ถูกรัฐปรสิตดำเนินคดีการเมืองทุก ๆ คนทั้งในอดีตและปัจจุบัน

On January 27, 2023, members of the Workers’ Union joined the “Stand Still Protest” at the skywalk in front of MBK to express support for the three demands of Tawan and Bam: reform of the justice system, judicial independence, an end to political prosecutions, and the release of all political prisoners. The union also calls on all political parties to push for the abolition of Sections 112 and 116 of the Criminal Code.
As an organization of working people committed to the interests of the 99%, we cannot remain silent in the face of the crisis of freedom of expression in Thai society. Without the ability to speak out and critique politics, a secure and decent livelihood for the majority cannot be realized.

Our protest is not only for the benefit of a particular group of activists, but for the freedom of all people in society to access sovereignty and to advance social change toward justice and equality in rights and the economy. We extend our solidarity to Tawan, Bam, and all those who have faced political prosecution by the parasitic state, past and present.
